In answer to your requests, we are now offering a series of short courses designed to expand and deepen topics introduced in the weekend courses. This short course may be useful for you and also for your friends to "try out" our work, with the intention of encouraging them to take a life-changing weekend course. In relationship each of us has expectations, history, beliefs, hidden conversations, lack of self-love, fear of forgiveness, not acknowledging our power and some information about relationship filed upside down and backward. Since our part is all we have to work with, this one-day course will help you uncover what may be keeping you from having the abundance of love and tenderness — the cherishing — that can be yours.
You know you love him and even most days that he loves you. But being cherished… that is the relationship utopia we often fall short of. What happened to that glow you felt when you were first in love? How can you get it back and more importantly, what shifts to you need to make to keep it in your relationship — always.

The Natural Power of Being a Woman

Desiring being loved is a healthy, natural longing. Being empowered, supported, coddled, soothed, known and understood are experiences we want from someone who loves us and is there for on a regular basis. We want unconditional love and we certainly deserve to have it.
It is said that in order to receive love from someone else we need to love ourselves. We need to create an environment in which love coming from someone else can find its way to us, to our hearts, and be experienced through our whole being. We need to create this pathway by loving ourselves.
Creating this environment where love can find us is the subject of our day. Through conversation, deep reflection and visualizations we will develop a route through which we can attract the unconditional love we deserve and desire.

Getting Ready for Him

is designed to help you prepare to meet him by getting clear about what you want in a relationship. What YOU actually want. Not what your mother, grandmother, Audrey Hepburn or anyone else wants but what will make YOU happy. Imagine the process as choosing from a menu of characteristics possible in men. What if it were that simple?
At Life Works we believe that being crystal clear — like a lighthouse beaming your presence and attracting what you want, welcoming some men and warning others to stay away — is an important step in finding a nurturing, empowering relationship. If finding a great guy is like a job interview, you need to know what qualities you are looking for, have some details for a job description, be aware of the pitfalls you have experienced in the past. When you meet him, be prepared to learn about his background, how he has performed in similar situations as well as what he is looking for in the future to see if he will be a good fit in your life.
Although there are no “rules for dating” or trickery involved, we do encourage honesty and clarity when women are choosing men to date. Once you are discerning we can also help you master the techniques to see if he has the qualities you want — in a female way, of course. We call this “heartbreak insurance” and want you to be prepared and ready to learn about potential partners when you are meeting people.
Women report that although some of this information is covered in the Having What You Want with a Man Weekend, this day-long course actually empowers you to fill in your lists and refine them. You leave with a great deal of information about the qualities you are looking for in a relationship so you can find a man who has many of them and determine if you can inspire a quality or two that many not be apparent at first.

This course, created in response to graduate requests, focuses on using this newest mode of being available — where there are reported to be many more men than women and which allows you to learn a great deal about someone before you meet — Dating on the Internet.
Do you need some help using the Internet as a dating tool? In this four session program, you will learn how to explore this "new world of dating potential," find which online services are right for you, write a winning profile or personal ad, learn how to "get yourself up" online, brushup your dating skills, keep track of all your prospects and refine your goals, share your experiences with others who are also trying this new dating arena, problem-solve your issues and learning spots, and best of all — have some FUN while being available for him to find you, too. Life Works Guidess Cheryl Marks-Young used the Internet to find her husband and in the process became an expert on how to "surf for love." She created this course in the fall of 2003 and for the first time, we are opening it to women who have not yet done a weekend course at Life Works. Consider taking this course as a personal commitment to yourself and the life you want to create with a man who might be out there searching for you right now.
